    Mount Elbrus is the highest and most prominent peak in Russia and Europe. It is situated in the western part of the Caucasus and is the highest peak of the Caucasus Mountains. The dormant volcano rises 5,642 m (18,510 ft) above sea level; it is the highest stratovolcano in Eurasia, as well as the tenth-most prominent peak in the world. The mountain stands in Southern Russia, in the Russian republic of Kabardino-Balkaria.

    Elbrus has two summits, both of which are dormant volcanic domes. The taller, western summit is 5,642 metres (18,510 ft); the eastern summit is 5,621 metres (18,442 ft).

    Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in the Alps and the European Union, rising 4,807.81 m (15,774 ft) above sea level. It is the second-most prominent mountain in Europe, after Mount Elbrus, and it is the eleventh most prominent mountain summit in the world. The mountain stands between the regions of Aosta Valley, Italy, and Savoie and Haute-Savoie, France. It gives its name to the Mont Blanc massif, bordering Switzerland and forming part of a larger range referred to as the Graian Alps. The location of the summit of Mont Blanc is on the watershed line between the valleys of Ferret and Veny in Italy and the valleys of Montjoie, and Arve in France, on the border between the two countries.

    Tre Cime di Lavaredo, also called the Drei Zinnen (pronounced [ˌdʁaɪ ˈtsɪnən] (listen); German for '"Three Merlons"'), are three distinctive battlement-like peaks, in the Sexten Dolomites of northeastern Italy. They are probably one of the best-known mountain groups in the Alps. The three peaks, from east to west, are: Cima Piccola / Kleine Zinne ("little peak"), Cima, Grande / Große Zinne ("big peak"), Cima Ovest / Westliche Zinne ("western peak"). The peaks are composed of well-layered dolomites of the Dolomia Principale (Hauptdolomit) formation, Carnian to Rhaetian in age, as are many other groups in the Dolomites (e.g., the Tofane, the Pelmo or the Cinque Torri).

  • Iceland Laugavegur Trail

    Laugavegur is a long-distance trail in southern Iceland. It runs from the Landmannalaugar geothermal springs to the Þórsmörk nature reserve, but we will do a final stretch till Skogafoss. The wide, dramatic valley of Þórsmörk sits at the foot of Eyjafjallajökull, an active volcano. The trail leads through striking landscapes spanning gorges, glaciers and multicolored rhyolite mountains. Simple huts dot the route at stops like Hrafntinnusker and Emstrur.

Every night we will try to spot it in the starry skies of Iceland and during the day we will drive on the legendary Ring Road aboard our vans. We will sleep in cottages in the Icelandic countryside, we will visit places beyond all imagination: glaciers, geysers, black beaches, thermal waters and waterfalls. At the end of the road trip we will swim in the Blue Lagoon. It will be an unforgettable journey to discover southern Iceland.
